Job summary

MTM Transit in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Road Supervisor to oversee fleet operations, driver performance, and safety compliance. You will monitor maintenance, coordinate incident responses, and develop route reports to optimize schedules and costs. The role requires at least two years driving experience and one year in safety/on-the-road service management; DOT/FTA knowledge is a plus.

Open availability and a valid U.S. driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as a driver in similar service.
• One year experience in safety & on-the-road service management.
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
• DOT and FTA safety regulations knowledge preferred.
• Experience with accident investigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on time performance measures of drivers, monitor driving and safety practices of drivers daily.
• Provide oversight of fleet maintenance program.
• Respond and coordinate data and photo collection at accident and incident scenes.
• Investigate and assist with accident determination.
• Assist drivers with questions, customer assistance and overall on-the-road support.
• Assist customers with information and complaint resolution.
• Provide management with reports to assist with the evaluation of route and schedule effectiveness.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required.

What will your job look like?

The Road Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all fleet operations meet company standards and are in compliance with all governmental or regulatory standards. Ensure efficient mechanical operation and appearance of each vehicle is maintained. Monitor all accident and injury investigations. Monitor comments and complaints of passengers regarding service, especially feedback regarding the safety of passengers. Ensure all daily routes are supplied with drivers. Develop utilization reports to establish cost effective routes and schedules to meet the needs of the customer and client.

Location : 12815 North 39th Ave Phoenix, AZ 85029 (The 3 week training will be located onsite at our Gilbert location off of Arizona Ave & Elliot Rd.)

What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Need:

_ Experience, Education & Certifications: _

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

• Must be 21 years or older

• Valid U.S. Driver’s License for the past 3 years

• Possess valid authorization to work in the State of Arizona and the United States

• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening

• Must pass criminal background check investigation & Motor Vehicle Record check

• No DUI’s, DWI’s or Reckless driving in the past 5 years

• Must not have more than 1 moving violation during each of the last 3 years

• In the event that your license has been previously revoked, you must have at least 3 full subsequent years post reinstatement with no violations

_ Skills: _

• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a driver in similar service

• 1 year experience in safety & on-the-road service management

• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality

Even better if you have…

• Experience working in a supervisory role preferred

• Knowledge of DOT and FTA safety regulations preferred

• Thorough knowledge of accident investigation preferred

• Knowledge of Safety and training practices and procedures

• Ability to communicate, teach and mentor employees

• Must be able to demonstrate conflict resolution skills

• Quick to process information and make adjustments or recommendations

• Skills in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications

Starting Pay : $22.00/hr.
