Job summary

MTM Transit in Mohave County, AZ is seeking drivers to provide safe, reliable non-emergency transportation. Weekly training sessions are offered, with initial training onsite in Phoenix.

Drivers will operate company tablets, navigate routes, and ensure timely pickups while delivering compassionate service. You will be responsible for assisting passengers, maintaining safety protocols, and upholding MTM’s commitment to caring for communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s license.
• Minimum of 5 years driving history.
• No pending charges or felonies in past 7 years; no DUI/DWI convictions.
• Must pass criminal background check & motor vehicle record investigation.
• Must pass a DOT physical if over 65 and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation to passengers.
• Demonstrate defensive driving skills at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with passenger loading/unloading from vehicle.
• Assist with mobility devices and securement for safety protocols.
• Ensure on-time pickup and drop-off of customers.
• Show sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities.
• Complete vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required.
• Complete paperwork as required.
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required.

What you’ll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 25 years of age or older
• Valid Arizona Driver’s license
• Minimum of 5 years driving history
• No pending charges
• No convicted felony charges in past 7 years
• No DUI or DWI convictions
• Must pass criminal background check & motor vehicle record investigation
• Must pass a DOT physical if over the age of 65 including a pre-employment drug screening
• Valid Authorization to work in the United States

Skills:

• Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronicdevice
• Ability to maintain a high level ofconfidentiality
• Ability to communicate with others and comprehendinstructions
• Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, andschedules
