Job summary

Sandhill Cove Retirement Community in Palm City, FL is seeking a hospitality focused Driver (per diem) to transport residents to grocery runs, outings and trips, with light housekeeping duties as needed.

The role requires a valid Florida Driver's License and at least six months of 14-passenger/van driving experience, plus the ability to obtain CPR/AED certification. Shifts include Saturdays and Sundays, with per diem scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Drive van, bus (14 passenger) or automobile on a regular schedule to meet resident needs.
• Assist Life Enrichment staff in assisting residents on/off vehicle and tracking attendance.
• Load groceries and other items into the vehicle.
• Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
• Clean and wash the vehicle.
• May perform housekeeping functions as directed.
• Support driving decisions that contribute to revenue and occupancy.

Sandhill Cove Retirement Community is recruiting for a hospitality focused Driver (perdiem) to join our team! This position is responsible for transporting residents to grocery store, monthly outings and extended trips as scheduled; assists in performing housekeeping duties as required.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Driver:

• Drive van, bus (14 passenger ) or automobile on regular schedule to meet resident needs.
• Assist Life Enrichment Manager or Life Enrichment Coordinator in assisting residents on and off bus/van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.).
• Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van.
• Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
• Clean and wash vehicle.
• May perform housekeeping functions as directed.
• Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum six (6) months experience as a bus (14 passenger)/van driver required
• Position requires a valid Florida Drivers License
• Must have the ability to obtain a CPR/AED certification

Pay rate: $17.00 an hour

****Perdiem position****

Shift: Saturday 3pm to 8:30pm and Sunday 8:30am to 5:30pm.
