Job summary

Sandhill Cove Retirement Community is seeking a hospitality-focused Driver (perdiem) to transport residents to grocery store visits, monthly outings and extended trips, and may assist with housekeeping duties as needed. The role requires a valid Florida driver's license, six months of bus/van driving experience, and CPR/AED certification eligibility.

The position offers a per-diem schedule with weekend shifts (Saturday 3pm–8:30pm, Sunday 8:30am–5:30pm) at $17.00 per hour, fostering a caring,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum six months experience as a bus (14 passenger)/van driver.
Valid Florida Driver's License required.
Must have the ability to obtain a CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

Drive van, bus (14 passenger) or automobile on regular schedule to meet resident needs.
Assist Life Enrichment Manager or Life Enrichment Coordinator in assisting residents on and off bus/van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.).
Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van.
Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
Clean and wash vehicle.
May perform housekeeping functions as directed.
Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
