Job summary

Paul Transportation Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Tulsa. You will process weekly payroll for 300+ drivers, maintain payroll records, and manage deductions and benefits within McLeod software.

The role requires 3+ years of payroll or related experience, familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and Excel, and a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience preferred.
• Transportation, trucking payroll experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with McLeod software preferred.
• Experience using ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for 270+ drivers, lease operators, and owner-operators.
• Enter new drivers into McLeod and maintain accurate payroll records.
• Process payroll deductions, including benefits, 401(k), garnishments, and other deductions.
• Review trip paperwork to ensure documentation is received before settlement.
• Enter hourly driver hours using reports from ADP and Samsara.
• Process extra driver pay, bonuses, minimum pay guarantees, and other adjustments.
• Calculate and process tolls, fuel incentives, and other settlement transactions.
• Enter repair invoices and escrow interest for lease operators.
• Maintain employee benefit and 401(k) deductions within payroll.
• Prepare and distribute weekly HR and payroll reports.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies with drivers, Operations, HR, and Accounting.
• Maintain confidentiality while ensuring payroll accuracy and timely processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 270 company drivers, lease operators, and owner-operators.
• Enter new drivers into McLeod and maintain accurate payroll records.
• Process payroll deductions, including benefits, 401(k), garnishments, and other authorized deductions.
• Review trip paperwork to ensure all required documentation has been received before settlement.
• Enter hourly driver hours using reports from ADP and Samsara.
• Process extra driver pay, bonuses, minimum pay guarantees, and other compensation adjustments.
• Calculate and enter tolls, truck washes, scale tickets, Comchecks, fuel advances, and other settlement transactions for lease operators.
• Calculate and process accessorial pay and monthly fuel incentive bonuses.
• Enter repair invoices and escrow interest for lease operators.
• Maintain employee benefit and 401(k) deductions within payroll.
• Prepare and distribute weekly HR and payroll reports.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies by working with drivers, Operations, HR, and Accounting.
• Maintain confidentiality while ensuring payroll accuracy and timely processing.
