Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Driver Patrol for 1st shift in Waterloo, IA. This unarmed patrol officer will conduct routine site patrols, monitor access, and deliver strong customer service while complying with policy requirements.

A valid driver’s license is required, and a background check will be conducted. The role offers full-time hours, daytime shifts, and the opportunity to join a team that prioritizes safety, integrity, and service.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
