Job summary

City of Shreveport is seeking a Driver/Operator Heavy Equipment to operate a variety of vehicles and support city infrastructure projects. You will assist in loading/unloading, and work with crews on street maintenance while traveling locally to sites as needed.

Must hold a Louisiana Class A/B/D driver’s license and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Possess a Class A, B, or D LA driver’s license.
• Demonstrated ability to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of vehicles and heavy equipment as assigned.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
• Work with City crews on physical tasks and street maintenance.
• Travel locally to job sites as required.
