Job summary

Action Resources is seeking a Dispatcher to grow and manage a profitable chemical/waste transportation operation. Coordinate and manage loads to remain cost effective as a company.

Work with all dispatchers and Terminal Managers to increase the productivity and efficiency of the fleet, supporting drivers based out of all existing markets with primary focus on their assigned market. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in transportation, experience in transportation, familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in transportation field.
• Experience in the transportation field preferred.
• Familiar with Transportation Management Software (TMW, McLeod).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate loads to stay cost effective and productive.
• Support drivers across markets and liaise with Terminal Managers.
• Focus on safety, service, revenue, assets and costs.
• Handle escalations and time-critical issues.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring drivers.
• Act as first point of contact for work issues.
