Job summary

Pencco, Inc. in Vernon, CA seeks a Dispatcher to manage customer orders, schedule and dispatch drivers, and ensure timely deliveries. You will coordinate with drivers, plant managers, and the sales team while addressing urgent issues.

Candidates should have DOT, FMCSA, and Hazmat knowledge, experience in dispatching/routing, and proficiency with MS Office. Class A CDL Hazmat experience is preferred and strong communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and process customer orders accurately and promptly.
• Schedule and dispatch drivers, prioritizing tasks to meet customer needs effectively while maintaining financial efficiency.
• Schedule vehicle maintenance, ensure drivers have necessary supplies, and coordinate with maintenance team and vendors for timely repairs.
• Assist in vetting potential new drivers for the company.
• Supervise drivers and other transportation team members to meet tasks.
• Monitor driver hours of service using Samsara and advise drivers accordingly.
• Provide customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns professionally.
• Coordinate with the railcar team and plant managers to maintain inventory levels.
• Collaborate with the sales team to determine customer rates and service requirements.
• Respond to inquiries from drivers, customers, plants, and terminals professionally.
• Be available on call for urgent dispatch issues.
• Assist with additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Job Overview:

The Dispatcher will be responsible for managing customer orders, scheduling, and dispatching drivers/trucks. This role will coordinate with drivers, plant managers, and the sales team to ensure timely deliveries. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Schedule vehicle maintenance, ensure drivers have necessary supplies, and coordinate with the mainte‑nance team and vendors for timely truck and trailer repairs.
• Assist in vetting potential new drivers for the company.
• Supervisor drivers and other transportation team members, to help meet all tasks
• Monitor driver hours of service using Samsara and provide guidance to drivers to navigate traffic and oth‑er obstacles.
• Provide customer support by understanding and addressing their needs, managing inquiries, and resolv‑ing concerns professionally.

• Collaborate with the sales team to determine customer rates and service requirements.

Requirements
