Red White & Blue Thrift Store in Denver, CO is seeking a Head Driver to support transportation operations at our location, coordinating closely with Transportation Supervisors to ensure efficient routing, vehicle management, and safety excellence.

This role serves as a peer leader and liaison, communicating directives, relaying updates, and helping sustain smooth daily operations while upholding high safety standards and customer service values.

Qualifications

• Experience with routing, tracking, and trailer/fleet management; basic MS Office knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a box truck safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of traffic laws for large commercial vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and follow a schedule.
• Able to maneuver the truck in tight spaces.
• Flexible schedule for changing pickup routes/schedules.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Transportation Supervisor’s point of contact, observing operations closely and communicating all relevant information.
• Safely operate and oversee vehicles and equipment, ensuring adherence to traffic rules and safety regulations.
• Model expected behaviors, applying sound judgment and a proactive approach to team needs.
• Communicate effectively with driver teams and supervisors to ensure understanding of expectations.
• Develop driver teams through coaching and training, identifying training needs.
• Oversee/optimize driver routing, resolve route issues, promote efficient trailer loading/unloading.
• Coordinate daily transportation activities including donor service and fleet maintenance.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to prioritize safety guidelines.
• Complete pickup routes as needed and support team goals.
• Align team with company goals and mission; share updates with donors.
• Attend required trainings and meetings to stay informed of policies.
