Job summary

Red White and Blue Thrift is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee all transportation operations at a Paterson, NJ location. You will lead Drive Pickup Drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff, manage route planning, and ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.

You may assist with pickups as needed, while focusing on supervisory duties. The role includes hiring, training, performance evaluations, and coordinating truck maintenance and schedule adherence to support

Qualifications

• Experience with routing, tracking, and managing trailers and fleet maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a motor vehicles records check.
• Ability to operate a box truck safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of traffic laws related to large commercial vehicles.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate changing pickup routes.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Lead a team of Donation Pickup Drivers, dispatchers, warehouse staff, and attendants.
• Plan and optimize driver routes and address on-road challenges.
• Coordinate fleet maintenance and trailer/shipping activities.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections; enforce safety protocols.
• Support store operations by coordinating donation pickup and delivery schedules.
• Represent the organization to donors and the public.
