Job summary

OATS Transit is seeking a dependable driver in Old Monroe, MO. You will transport riders safely, assist boarding and alighting, secure wheelchairs, and keep the vehicle clean. Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and complete required paperwork for the regional office.

A high school education and appropriate license are required, with DOT and drug screening compliance. Day shift, full‑ or part‑time, with a wage of $17.01 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Class E or CDL license required with no more than 4 points.
• Must be able to pass a U.S. DOT physical and road test.
• Must pass drug screening and undergo random drug/alcohol testing.
• Must be bondable.
• All drivers must use a computer tablet in their vehicle; computer experience is a plus.

Driver Job Description

As an OATS Transit driver you will:

• Be responsible for the excellent condition and cleanliness of an assigned OATS vehicle and equipment.

• Utilize in‑vehicle tablet to receive trip information, updates and validate pick‑up and drop‑off times.
• Complete required paperwork and submit it to the regional office in a timely manner.
• Attend routine paid training.
• Comply with federal, state and company rules and regulations.

• Have a proactive, helpful, can‑do attitude with the flexibility to adjust to different schedules and routes.
• Neat, organized, able to work independently.
• Must be able to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds; this job requires many physical demands including sitting, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying.
