Job summary

Day & Ross is seeking a Driver Manager for the night shift in York, PA. This full-time on-site role focuses on ensuring safe, on-time delivery for a diverse customer base while maximizing productivity and profitability of the driver fleet.

You will manage driver performance, develop positive work relationships, and ensure adherence to company policies. The team values safety, reliability, and efficient operations within the North American network.

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED required; logistics experience preferred.
  • A 4-year college degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in transportation is required.
  • TMS software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure driver success through relationship building, effective communication, positive recognition and timely addressing of issues.
  • Provide complete load information, including routing and directions to ensure drivers are fully prepared for work assignment.
  • Maintain accurate and complete files for all records within TMS System – for drivers, trips and customers.
  • Utilize various tools in the ELD System and TMS System per company processes.
  • Monitor critical loads, determine when a recovery plan is needed and execute plan to ensure on-time delivery.

Driver Manager

Full-time - Night Shift

York, PA

The Driver Manager is a member of the Day & Ross Operations Team. The role requires driver managers to ensure safe, on-time delivery for various customers, while maximizing the productivity and profitability of an assigned fleet of drivers and trucks. Driver Managers are also responsible for creating a positive quality of work for drivers and provide safe and effective driver management to enhance driver retention. Lastly, they insure driver adherence to company policy and procedures.

How You’ll Help
  • Ensure driver success through relationship building, effective communication, positive recognition and timely addressing of issues (performance and personal related).
  • Provide complete load information, including routing and directions to ensure drivers are fully prepared for work assignment.
  • Maintain accurate and complete files for all records within TMS System – For drivers, trips and customers.
  • Utilize various tools in the ELD System and TMS System systems per company processes and procedures.
  • Monitor critical loads, be able to determine when a recovery plan is needed and be able to execute plan to ensure on-time delivery or to achieve other objectives.
Your Skills And Experience
  • Minimum of a high school Diploma or GED, with logistics experience preferred
  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in transportation is required.
  • TMS System software expertise preferred.
