Job summary

Final Mile is seeking a Driver Manager to lead a fleet of 30-35 company drivers. The role focuses on performance, safety, utilization and retention with emphasis on continuous coaching and formal reviews.

You will ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations, manage payroll discrepancies, and mentor drivers in using tools like Omnitracs. The position involves hands-on leadership and coordination with load planning.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing a driver fleet.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to start and drive tasks.
• Experience with driver payroll, scheduling and regulatory compliance (FMCSA).

Responsibilities

• Oversee performance, reviews, and corrective actions for 30-35 drivers.
• Ensure safety, utilization, and retention goals are met with the fleet.
• Maintain regulatory compliance (FMCSA), hours of service, drug testing, licensing.
• Coach drivers on tools/systems and payroll processes; resolve payroll issues.
• Collaborate with load planners to improve productivity and handle handoffs.
