Job summary

Schneider is seeking a Driver Manager in Owatonna, MN to ensure successful execution of customer freight delivery through effective driver management. The Driver Manager will act as a link between the business, our drivers and customers.

The role is on-site in Owatonna with a full-time schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 6 a.m.–3 p.m., reporting to the driver management team. Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and demonstrates strong communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work collaboratively with a variety of teams, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Make safety-conscious decisions that ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Balance the needs of our customers, drivers and the business.
• Provide continuous, structured and proactive performance management and coaching to drivers.
• Manage driver payroll and home time.
