Job summary

Schneider is seeking a Driver Manager in Milford, CT to ensure successful execution of customer freight delivery through effective driver management. The Driver Manager will act as a link between the business, our drivers and customers.

The role requires managing safety, payroll, home time, and performance coaching, while balancing driver and customer needs to drive retention and business performance. The position is on-site in Milford, CT with a typical first-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Make safety-conscious decisions that ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Balance the needs of our customers, drivers and the business.
• Provide continuous, structured and proactive performance management and coaching to drivers.
