Job summary

Heniff Transportation Systems is seeking a Driver Manager to assign jobs and ensure efficient driver operations. You will maintain safety compliance, communicate with customers, and maximize revenue by optimal driver utilization.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree or equivalent, 5+ years of related experience, and familiarity with DOT/OSHA regulations. Travel to corporate office and other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Some travel to corporate office and other locations.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with drivers to ensure their needs are met.
• Communicate with customers to ensure high level of service.
• Maximize driver availability to fully utilize equipment and maximize revenue.
• Review dispatch sheets and driver assignments to ensure loads are dispatched.
• Review orders and distribute according to terminal procedure.
• Ensure timely movement of loaded trucks carrying various products.
• Schedule loads and assign qualified drivers.
• Enter load information into TMW system and prepare Delivery Receipts.
• Provide drivers with pertinent information for scheduled loads.
• Initiate and maintain customer specifications.
• Review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for hauled products.
• Review Hours of Service Logs for available hours and update records.
• Update and/or forward reports as directed by terminal management.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
• Incorporate measures to prevent waste and lost time.
• Address concerns from employees and customers effectively.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules (OSHA/DOT).
• Report to the Terminal Manager.
