Job description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client in Olathe, KS, looking to fill their Dispatcher Manager role. This position will be responsible for supervising, monitoring activities, and providing direction to drivers to ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight. This is a TEMP-TO-HIRE opportunity, fully onsite during DAY SHIFT from 5 am to 5 pm, 4 days on and 3 days off, offering $50,000 annually.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise, monitor activities, and provide direction to drivers for safe and timely freight delivery.
2. Proactively take initiative with minimal guidance.
3. Communicate regularly with drivers via telephone and mobile messaging.
4. Provide ongoing feedback to direct reports regarding performance, both positive and constructive.
5. Take disciplinary action when necessary to address performance issues in line with policies and procedures.
6. Determine when employee terminations are appropriate due to performance issues.
7. Address disciplinary issues with drivers, including discussing incidents, violations of policies or SOPs, and providing guidance on handling or avoiding issues.
8. Inform drivers of potential further disciplinary actions, including termination.
9. Document incidents for personnel files.
10. Initiate employee terminations following SOPs.
11. Provide feedback to independent contractors regarding service levels.
12. Terminate Independent Contractor Agreements as per SOPs.
13. Monitor driver turnover and work to maintain acceptable levels within company parameters.
14. Collaborate with drivers and other departments to resolve issues and improve driver retention.
15. Provide ongoing performance feedback to Fleet Managers.

Qualifications:

1. At least 3 years of experience in Dispatching and Management.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and TMS.

Compensation:

$50,000 annually
