Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation's Lancaster East Driver License Center, is seeking a Driver License Examiner Assistant to support daily operations, assist customers, verify identities, and administer testing services. You will process applications, enter data, and provide information on renewals and licensing options.

Typical schedule is full-time, 8:15 AM–4:45 PM, Tuesday through Saturday, with occasional overtime and no telework option.

Qualifications

One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
PA residency requirement must be met.

Responsibilities

Greet customers, explain licensing services, distribute forms and informational materials, and respond to questions and concerns.
Examine identification documents and review application information to help prevent fraud and identity theft.
Administer standardized knowledge exams and conduct vision screenings for license applicants.
Enter customer information, application details, and test results into online licensing systems.
Provide information about renewals, duplicates, transfers, motorcycle licenses, CDL requirements, restrictions, and endorsements.
Follow REAL ID requirements, fee waiver guidelines, customer service policies, and workplace safety procedures.
