DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports daily operations at a Driver License Center by assisting customers, processing applications, verifying identification documents, and administering testing services. The role combines customer service, data entry, regulatory compliance, and public interaction to help deliver driver licensing services efficiently and accurately. As a Driver License Examiner Assistant, you will perform the following duties:

• Customer Assistance: Greet customers, explain licensing services, distribute forms and informational materials, and respond to questions and concerns
• Identity Verification: Examine identification documents and review application information to help prevent fraud and identity theft
• Knowledge Testing: Administer standardized knowledge exams and conduct vision screenings for license applicants
• Application Processing: Enter customer information, application details, and test results into online licensing systems
• License Services: Provide information about renewals, duplicates, transfers, motorcycle licenses, CDL requirements, restrictions, and endorsements
• Regulatory Compliance: Follow REAL ID requirements, fee waiver guidelines, customer service policies, and workplace safety procedures

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
• Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime and travel as needed
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
