Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Driver Licensing, has a full-time vacancy for a Driver and Commercial Licensing Examiner (Licensing Examiner II) in Concord. The role administers tests and licensing examinations to ensure only qualified individuals receive commercial driver licenses and school bus licenses.

Candidates must have an associate's degree with 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience,

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Associate's degree and 1 year of experience OR equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
License/Certification: Valid driver's license.
Must be at least 21 years of age at time of appointment.
Driving record must be clear of disqualifying violations as determined by Director of Motor Vehicles.
Willing to attend additional training sessions to expand knowledge of FMCSR and Driver's License regulations.

Responsibilities

Administer driving skills examinations for commercial vehicle and school bus licenses.
Review applicant information for consistency with motor vehicle laws and Federal regulations.
Travel throughout the state to work at satellite offices and testing locations, including outdoor work in adverse weather.
