Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation seeks a Driver License Examiner Assistant to help customers complete important driver licensing tasks and support safe roadways. You will verify identity documents, provide clear information, and process renewals, duplicates, transfers, and specialized license requests.

The role offers front-line duties, with a schedule of 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday–Saturday.

Qualifications

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guide them through identification checks and application steps.
• Provide vision screenings and administer standardized knowledge tests when applicable.
• Enter test results and licensing information into on-line systems.
• Answer questions about licensing requirements and available services.
• Process transactions such as renewals, duplicates, transfers, and specialized license requests.
• Follow REAL ID regulations, fee waiver rules, and applicable policies.
