Job summary

Commonwealth Of Pennsylvania's PennDOT seeks a Driver License Examiner to join the Clearfield licensing team. You will administer examinations for commercial and non-commercial driver license applicants, evaluating their overall skill and competency to promote driver and roadway safety.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Driver License Examiner Assistant or two years evaluating and providing information to the public.
• Active PA non-commercial Class C driver's license and age 21+ at application.
• No license suspensions or revocations in the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate applicants' physical readiness, driving ability, and vehicle condition for safe operation.
• Administer written knowledge tests on Vehicle Code and traffic signs.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and road tests for non-commercial license applicants.
• Review applications, registrations, and permits to identify errors or fraud.
• Perform vision tests including telebinocular checks and color perception.
• Follow customer service policies and apply fee waiver guidelines accurately.
