The NC Department of Transportation in North Carolina seeks a Program Coordinator IV (NS) in the Division of Motor Vehicles to oversee private-for-profit driver education entities and enforce Article 14 of Chapter 20 and NC Administrative Code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and three years of related program experience.
• Experience with driver education laws and regulations.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and public relations abilities.

Responsabilités

• Conduct Basic Driver Education Instructor Courses (online or in person) using the existing curriculum.
• Develop or update course curriculum as laws/regulations change.
• Teach the Vision and Medical Screening Course required by regulations.
• Conduct annual inspections of commercial driver training school locations.
• Perform inspections prior to opening new school locations.
• Observe classes and in-car instruction as required by regulations.
• Investigate complaints regarding driver training schools and instructors.
• Represent the Division at conferences or meetings related to driver education activities.
