The North Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a Program Coordinator IV (NS) to oversee private-for-profit driver education schools and instructors across the western region, ensuring compliance with Article 14 and 19A NCAC 03I. The role emphasizes customer service, strong organization, and adherence to statutory requirements.

You will review curricula, inspect schools, respond to inquiries, and represent the Division at conferences.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in the program related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mansioni

• Oversee private-for-profit driver education businesses and instructors.
• Respond to questions from schools, instructors, students, parents, and staff.
• Develop and update course curricula as laws/regulations change.
• Conduct Basic Driver Education Instructor Courses (online or in person).
• Inspect existing commercial driver training school locations and required facilities.
