Coastal Elite Pro in Portland, ME is seeking a safety-conscious truck driver to perform pick-up and delivery duties between service centers and customers, including manual lifting in a multi-temperature environment. You will operate straight trucks, secure freight, complete paperwork, and communicate delays while upholding DOT regulations.

Eligible candidates have a CDL with hazmat, one year of experience, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• CDL with hazmat endorsement required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience driving a similar vehicle or completion of a driver development course.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and read route schedules.
• Clean MVR符合DOT standards.

Position Overview:

Responsible for safe, professional pick-up and delivery between Service Centers and customers, including manual lifting and use of carts in a multi-temperature environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks and ensure timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service and soliciting new business.
• Secure freight with pallets, straps, and ropes; perform daily safety inspections of equipment.
• Follow dispatch instructions, communicate delays or issues, and handle freight damage repairs.
• Complete required paperwork, maintain records, and process freight charges.
• Assist with loading/unloading freight using appropriate equipment, comply with hazardous material regulations, and secure tires as needed.
• Perform freight handling tasks and ensure adherence to all laws, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Class B CDL with hazardous materials and tank endorsements; automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• At least one year of experience in a similar vehicle or completion of a driver development course.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, perform basic math, read route schedules, and work independently or in a team.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Working Conditions:

Must work indoors and outdoors, driving in various weather and road conditions, with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials per DOT regulations.

Additional Information:

Compensation ranges from $30.08 to $34.82 per hour, with potential mileage pay for linehaul duties. Benefits include health coverage, paid time off, 401(k), bonuses, tuition reimbursement, and more.
