Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking a professional driver to perform pick-up and delivery duties between service centers and customers. The role involves manual lifting, handling freight, and operating in a multi-temperature environment.

Responsibilities include meeting delivery schedules, ensuring safety, and maintaining records while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies. Candidates should hold a CDL with hazmat/tank endorsements and have reliable customer service skills.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with hazmat and tank endorsements required.
• At least one year of experience driving similar-sized vehicles or completion of a driver development program.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, sit for extended periods, and work independently or in teams.
• Clean MVR and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Secure freight with pallets, straps, and ropes.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues.
• Load/unload freight using forklifts and pallet jacks.

Position Overview

Responsible for pick-up and delivery between service centers and customers, ensuring timely, safe, and professional service. This includes manual lifting, using carts and two-wheel dollies in a multi-temperature environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks and perform safety inspections
• Ensure delivery schedules are met while providing excellent customer service
• Secure freight with pallets, straps, and ropes
• Follow dispatch instructions, communicate delays or issues
• Load/unload freight, use equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks
• Complete documentation, verify freight charges, and maintain records
• Adhere to hazardous materials regulations and company policies

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Class B CDL with hazardous materials and tank endorsements
• At least one year of recent experience driving similar-sized vehicles or completion of a driver development course
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, sit for extended periods, and work independently or in teams
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record and ability to follow instructions

Working Conditions

Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials under DOT regulations. May require working in diverse environments and handling physical tasks.
