Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking a professional driver to pick up and deliver between service centers and customers. The role involves operating straight trucks, securing freight, performing safety inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate has a CDL-B with hazmat/tank endorsements and at least one year of relevant experience, plus excellent communication and a clean MVR. This position requires physical capability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in diverse weather

Qualifications

• CDL-Class B license with hazardous materials and tank endorsements.
• Minimum of 1 year driving straight trucks or completion of driver development program.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; acceptable MVR.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds and sit for extended periods; able to follow instructions.
• Work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks and meet delivery schedules.
• Provide excellent customer service and solicit new business.
• Secure freight with pallets, straps, and ropes.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and follow dispatch instructions.
• Handle freight using forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
• Complete documentation and verify freight charges; maintain records.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and laws (DOT).
• Assist with loading/unloading and freight handling as needed.

Education

CDL-Class B with hazmat & tank endorsements

Position Overview:

Responsible for pick-up and delivery between Service Centers and customers in a safe, professional, and timely manner. Tasks include manual lifting, operating straight trucks, securing freight, and performing safety inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks and ensure delivery schedules are met.
• Provide excellent customer service and solicit new business.
• Secure freight with pallets, straps, and ropes.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and follow dispatch instructions.
• Handle freight using motorized/manual equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Complete documentation, verify freight charges, and maintain records.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and laws.
• Assist with loading/unloading and perform freight handling duties as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid CDL-Class B with hazardous materials and tank endorsements.
• At least one year of recent experience driving straight trucks or completion of a driver development course.
• Excellent communication, customer service skills, and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, sit for extended periods, and follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

Able to work outdoors and indoors, drive in various weather conditions, and handle noise, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials in compliance with DOT regulations.
