Palmer-Donavin is seeking a full-time Delivery Driver in Bluffton, IN. This daytime position runs Monday through Friday with a start window of 5am–7am and no weekend work, home every night.

Starting pay is $26–$29 per hour plus overtime as needed, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service throughout deliveries. The role involves inspecting equipment, securing cargo, adhering to DOT requirements, and operating tractor trailers to deliver materials to customer locations.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of recent driving experience in a commercial motor vehicle
• Hold a current, valid Class A CDL
• Satisfactory criminal background check
• Satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
• Satisfactory result on a pre-employment drug screening
• Satisfactory PSP (Pre-Employment Screening Program) report
• Acceptable DOT-compliant employment verification(s)
• Acceptable FMCSA Clearinghouse report
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (issued within the last 90 days or must be renewed prior to hire)

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment to ensure operational readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Perform vehicle inspections before operation and secure cargo for safe transport.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures during transit and delivery activities.
• Operate tractor trailers to safely deliver materials to customer locations.
• Handle strapping, unstrapping, and rag side trailer functions during deliveries as required.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT and company requirements.
• Obtain delivery receipts, customer signatures, and payments when required.
• Provide professional customer service and maintain positive customer interactions during deliveries.
