Job summary

Palmer-Donavin in Beloit, Wisconsin is seeking a full-time daytime driver to operate tractor trailers and deliver entry doors to customers. The role includes inspecting equipment, securing cargo, and maintaining accurate logs, with DOT/compliance responsibilities throughout each shift.

You will be home every night, Monday through Friday, with no weekend work. The position requires a valid Class A CDL and 3–8 years of driving experience, plus pre-employment checks and PSP/DOT verifications.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
• Current, valid Class A CDL.
• Background check, MVR, drug screen and PSP cleared.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse and DOT verification completed.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate current.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain safety and emergency equipment to ensure readiness.
• Check vehicle before driving and secure cargo for transport.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures during transit and delivery.
• Operate tractor trailers to deliver doors to customers.
• Load/unload materials using forklifts and hand trucks, document delivery receipts.

Drivers are responsible for inspecting mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment, securing cargo, and operating tractor trailers to deliver materials safely and efficiently to customers. They follow DOT and company regulations, maintain accurate logbooks, handle loading and unloading using various equipment, and ensure proper documentation and customer interaction at each stop.

Starting Pay: $26-29/hr+

Schedule & Home Time

• Monday–Friday
• 5:00 AM – 7:00 AM start time
• Home every night
• No weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and maintain mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
• Check vehicles before driving and secure cargo for safe transport.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures during transit and delivery.
• Operate tractor trailers to deliver entry doors to customers.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Maintain accurate log books, obtain delivery receipts or signatures.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of recent driving experience in a commercial motor vehicle
• Hold a current, valid Class A CDL
• Satisfactory criminal background check
• Satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
• Satisfactory result on a pre-employment drug screening
• Satisfactory PSP (Pre-Employment Screening Program) report
• Acceptable DOT-compliant employment verification(s)
• Acceptable FMCSA Clearinghouse report
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (issued within the last 90 days or must be renewed prior to hire)
