Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. seeks a CDL Class A Driver to join our team, with home daily routes and travel across sites. You'll drive a 53 ft tractor-trailer, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and support site start-ups.

We offer competitive pay with $24.00 per stop and $38.50 per hour for non-route work, plus a $3,000 referral bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), life and disability.

Qualifications

• 6 months of CDL experience operating the same type of equipment or larger in the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A current valid A driver’s license and an acceptable MVR.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds).

Responsibilities

• Drive 53 ft tractor trailer in and around the site or on public roads.
• No touch freight position.
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices.
• Perform driver ride-along reviews, conduct road tests, do site audits and more.
• Perform routine inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch.

Pay rates starting at $24.00 Stop Rate (piece rate) includes both the pre-trip inspection and post -trip inspection.

$38.50/ per hour is for non route work including training, meetings, moving trailers on the yard.

About the role

As a CDL Driver, you'll not only drive our equipment, but you'll also drive our success! You'll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily. Travel across the country to help cover sites for vacations, be part of the launch team for new site start-ups, work at a different place every week or help support the site you originally come from in revenue generation or expense control

What you'll need to succeed at GXO

At a minimum you'll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 18 years old
• A current valid A driver's license and an acceptable MVR

It'd be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
• 1 million accident free miles
• 5 years of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class A experience
