Qualifications

• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Ability to count and perform simple calculations.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds several times a day.
• Must have CDL or CLP before entering job classification.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations including doubles and/or straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook and unhook trailers to/from tractors.
• Handle freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Maintain required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with Dispatch about delays or issues.
• Provide internal and external customer service.
• Identify customer pick-up/delivery needs and seek new opportunities.
