Job summary

Cano Health is hiring a Patient Transport Associate to provide courteous, timely transportation for patients to appointments. Responsibilities include assisting patients with boarding, wheelchair support, safety checks, and daily vehicle inspections.

Flexible shifts are required; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. A valid driver’s license, excellent customer service, and knowledge of local streets are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to 1 year driving experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of local streets and addresses.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and return of patients as per schedule.
• Stay in contact with the office to report any change in schedule including patient cancellations.
• Assist patients to get in and out of the vehicle and with wheelchairs.
• Ensure passenger safety at all times.
• Follow flexible shift schedules as work dictates.
• Transport patients to hospitals or specialists as needed.
• Inspect van daily and ensure it is clean and mechanically safe.
• Report incidents or accidents to supervisor immediately.
• Wear company uniform and use routing phone system.
