Job summary

Mary’s Woods in Lake Oswego, OR seeks an experienced CDL Driver to transport residents for appointments, events, and activities. You will assist with boarding and wheelchair accessibility while delivering warm, respectful customer service to seniors.

The role requires a valid CDL with bus endorsement, a current Oregon license, and First Aid/CPR certification. The work is community-focused, with schedule Wed–Sat and a starting wage around market rates for the region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL with bus endorsement required.
• Oregon Driver’s License with safe driving record for 3+ years.
• Knowledge/certification in First Aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents on shopping/medical trips, group events, cultural events and other appointments as needed.
• Monitor minor vehicle maintenance, gas usage, mileage log, oil changes and cleaning vehicles inside and out.
• Understand, comply with, and promote all rules regarding resident rights.
• Promote positive relationships with residents, visitors, and regulators.
• Demonstrate the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.

Job description

Mary's Woods is looking for an experienced CDL Driver with exceptional communication and customer service skills to support our Transportation team. As a Driver, you will need to have solid working knowledge of the Portland Metro Area and enjoy interacting with seniors. You will be transporting residents in our various vehicles ranging from a car to a bus for regularly scheduled trips, medical appointments and events. You will need to be comfortable with assisting residents with boarding, seating, loading, unloading packages, and wheelchair accessibility protocols.

Mary's Woods is a non-profit senior living community founded in 2001. We offer independent living, assisted living, memory care and residential care in a park-like setting on 40 acres in Lake Oswego. Below are some of the core responsibilities, experience, and skills needed to be successful:

• Must have a solid working knowledge of Clackamas, Multnomahand Washington county roads/addresses
• Demonstratebasic understanding of auto mechanics, key fob entriesand computer programmed key fob operation
• Transport residents on shopping/medical trips, group events, cultural eventsand other appointments as needed

Education and Experience Required:
