Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move products safely and efficiently to customers across our nationwide network. You will perform vehicle inspections, complete DOT logs, and deliver on time while adhering to safety standards.

You will drive to destinations, ensure accuracy of bills, and maintain logs and delivery records. The role requires reading and understanding English and a commitment to safe driving on busy routes.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 1 year driving experience or 50,000 miles.
• Meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination per regulations and safe maneuvering.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $27.00 per hr

Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000 depending on experience.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
