Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move, supply, and deliver products to our customers across the United States. This role offers competitive pay, robust benefits from day one, and routes that keep you home daily.

As a CDL-A Teammate, you will inspect equipment, manage logs, and ensure accurate deliveries while following DOT regulations. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service across a third-shift schedule in a local network.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL-A license and be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient for safety and operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before and after trips and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of driving regulations and skill in maneuvering.”
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts and temperatures.
• Unload trailer and deliver products into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $75,000 to $85,000.
• Foodservice experience is required.

• Begin on extra board with bidding for routes starting at 6 months.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
