Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move and provide for America's favorite brands. You will inspect and drive tractor-trailers, maintain logs, unload at customer sites, and support safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English sufficiently to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and shop keys for accuracy on delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following regulations and safety practices.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations and report temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: Drivers average $90,000 to $95,000 per year.
• Experienced drivers can earn over $100K.
• Drivers are scheduled for 4 day work weeks and no Saturdays.

What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor‑trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off‑hour delivery.
• Drive tractor‑trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor‑trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job‑related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
