McLane Company, Inc in Concord, NC is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. This full-time overnight shift offers consistent schedule, strong pay, and opportunities for growth as you move product to customers while upholding safety standards.

You will inspect vehicles, manage logs per DOT rules, load and unload cargo, and deliver to retailers and restaurants. The role requires a valid CDL-A, at least one year of driving or 50,000 miles, and clear English communication.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during deliveries.
• Drive to destination adhering to regulations and safe driving practices.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT regulations and document temps/delivery receipts.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
