Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc. in Carrollton, GA is seeking a full-time Driver to operate a 1 ½ ton truck and welcome donors, while adhering to DMV and company guidelines. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Previous driving experience preferred.
• Forklift and warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains vehicle logs and daily trip sheets according to all company procedures.
• Reports any mechanical problems, delays, accidents, and/or other traffic and transportation situations to leadership team.
• Loads and unloads trucks, vehicles, containers, and trailers by hand or with a hand truck, lift gate, and/or pallet jack during pick-up and drop-offs.
• Conducts daily preventative maintenance checks, before, during and after operations, and adheres to all safety regulations.
• Cleans the inside of the assigned vehicle daily, and the outside, as needed.
• Reports concerns to the leadership team immediately.
• Pads, stacks, and secures items in position on the truck to prevent damage during transit.
• Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.
• You may be cross-trained to work in all areas of the retail operation.

The Carrollton retail store is currently looking for a hard-working and dedicated Driver.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.’s Driver responsibilities:

You will be hired as a Driver, however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work in all areas of the retail operation.

A full-time position averages 38-40 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on business needs (i.e., seasonal changes, donation volumes, etc.) Operating days will fluctuate based on the store location. The Driver must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report
• Previous commercial driving experience preferred.
• Prior forklift experience is preferred.
• Warehouse experience is preferred.
