Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc. in Carrollton, GA is seeking a full-time Driver to operate a 1 ½ ton truck and welcome donors, while adhering to DMV and company guidelines. The role emphasizes time management, customer commitment, and contributing to the mission of empowering communities.

The position offers 38–40 hours weekly with shifts Monday through Sunday and a benefits package including PTO, 401(k) matching, and comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Previous driving experience preferred.
• Forklift and warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains vehicle logs and daily trip sheets according to all company procedures.
• Reports any mechanical problems, delays, accidents, and/or other traffic and transportation situations to leadership team.
• Loads and unloads trucks, vehicles, containers, and trailers by hand or with a hand truck, lift gate, and/or pallet jack during pick-up and drop-offs.
• Conducts daily preventative maintenance checks, before, during and after operations, and adheres to all safety regulations.
• Cleans the inside of the assigned vehicle daily, and the outside, as needed.
• Reports concerns to the leadership team immediately.
• Pads, stacks, and secures items in position on the truck to prevent damage during transit.
• Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.
• You may be cross-trained to work in all areas of the retail operation.
