The position requires a valid CDL, clean driving record, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will plan routes, perform vehicle inspections, and coordinate with dispatch for smooth deliveries, with opportunities to assist in warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) relevant to the vehicle class.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in food distribution or related industry.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Strong knowledge of local and regional road networks.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Load and unload merchandise, ensuring proper handling and securing of products to prevent damage.
• Verify accuracy of cargo against delivery manifests and obtain signatures upon delivery.
• Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled delivery times.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any mechanical issues or damage promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding delivery status or issues.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and customer service standards.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed when not on delivery routes.
