Job summary

Iberia Foods, a major Caribbean and Hispanic foods distributor in the United States, seeks a reliable Delivery Driver to transport goods to grocery stores, restaurants, and other clients while maintaining excellent service. You will load/unload, verify manifests, and communicate with dispatch and customers.

DOT safety and a clean driving record are required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, pass screenings, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience as a delivery driver or similar role.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with GPS devices and route planning applications.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver food products to grocery stores, restaurants, and other commercial clients within designated routes.
• Load and unload merchandise, ensuring accurate counts and proper handling to prevent damage.
• Verify delivery manifests against actual products loaded and delivered.
• Obtain necessary signatures and complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues.
• Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report maintenance needs or mechanical problems.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
