Job summary

Powertrain Industries, Inc. in Virginia Beach is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to support driveshaft production at our facility. You will perform technical duties, follow orders, interpret dimensions, and uphold safety and quality on the shop floor.

Ideal candidates have basic mechanical skills, good organizational and math abilities, plus basic computer usage. The role involves standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in warm conditions typical of a production environment.

Qualifications

• Have good organizational, communication and math skills.
• Basic mechanical skills with machinery and tools.
• Basic computer skills including internet and scanning systems.
• Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Working Conditions: Standing/walking, moderate noise, production floor temps up to 90+ degrees in summer.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and utilize proper PPE as instructed.
• Follow verbal and written instructions with the ability to interpret work orders and dimensional information.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of assigned work area, tools and equipment.
• Maintain a productivity level above 50% of the shift’s individual goal, unless otherwise directed.
• Maintain a quality yield % of 92.5% or greater, unless otherwise directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
