Job summary

Dorman Products is seeking a Driveline Technician II for the weekend shift in Virginia Beach. You will perform maintenance on driveshaft machinery, follow work orders, and ensure safety and quality standards on the production floor.

The role requires at least 2 years of driveshaft manufacturing experience or a PTI pathway, strong organizational and math skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This position offers a fast-paced environment with opportunities for hands-on mechanical work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 2 years of prior driveshaft manufacturing experience, or 90 days with PTI.
• Physical requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and utilize proper PPE as instructed.
• Follow verbal and written instructions with the ability to interpret work orders and dimensional information.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of 1 or multiple assigned work areas, tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform general maintenance on machinery and tools at certified stations.
• Maintain a productivity level above 75% of the shift’s individual goal, unless otherwise directed.
• Maintain a quality yield % of 95% or greater, unless otherwise directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
