Job summary

Dorman Products in Reno, NV is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to perform technical duties related to the production of driveshafts. The role focuses on adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency on the shop floor.

You will operate basic machining-related equipment, follow work orders, interpret dimensional data, and use production systems while maintaining readiness for PPE and a clean, organized work environment. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, communication and math abilities.
• Basic mechanical skills with machinery and tools.
• Basic computer skills including internet and scanning systems.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to stand, walk and handle items in a production environment; heat can reach 90+ degrees.

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of assigned work area, tools and equipment.

• Maintain a quality yield % of 92.5% or greater, unless otherwise directed.

• Utilize production systems via computers, tablets, scanners, etc.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of assigned work area, tools and equipment.
• Maintain a productivity level above 50% of the shift’s individual goal, unless otherwise directed.
• Maintain a quality yield % of 92.5% or greater, unless otherwise directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate. Production floor temperature may reach up to 90+ degrees during the summer months.
