Job summary

Dauch is seeking a 1st shift Assembly Operator for the Bowling Green Manufacturing Facility to perform manual and automated assembly of driveline components in a fast-paced environment.

You will read blueprints, operate equipment, inspect parts, document production data, and work in a 5S workplace while following safety policies and participating in continuous improvement.

This role requires a high school diploma, the ability to stand up to 12 hours, lift up to 35 lbs, and a teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Must be able to work the designated 1st shift hours (6:00am - 2:30pm).
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours) and perform repetitive tasks.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated assembly tasks for driveline components and sub-assemblies.
• Operate and monitor assembly equipment, machinery, and tools safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production schedules.
• Inspect parts and assemblies for quality defects and conformance to specifications, following all proper gaging techniques.
• Document production data, including quantities, scrap, and downtime.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S principles.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.
