Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Texas is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running daily drive-in operations. You will train, coach and supervise team members, ensuring quality food, clean workspace, and a safe, efficient guest experience.

The role involves schedule flexibility, supervising shifts, and helping manage inventory and costs while promoting excellent customer service and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of restaurant management experience in QSR or 1 year in retail management.
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, monitor and coach Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign staff to ensure all aspects of food service meet standards.
• Adhere to the employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitor staffing, inventory and food cost; complete weekly inventory.
• Assist in administrative duties including maintaining files, records and documentation.
• Reinforce customer service focus and resolve guest requests and complaints.
