Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking a General Manager to lead the team and deliver a superior guest experience. You will train and support Crew, Carhops, and Skating Carhops, supervise opening/closing, and ensure food is served safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include scheduling, inventory control, payroll, staff recruitment, customer service, and reporting on financial trends. You will also develop and implement a marketing plan to drive sales and store success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business or restaurant management preferred.
• Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Ability to work a minimum 5 day week with 4 closing shifts (or 4 days with guaranteed schedule), including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to supervise and develop staff.
• Basic accounting and computer skills; ability to multi-task and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns staff to meet operational standards for food service.
• Adheres to employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Prepares employee work schedules and adjusts staffing levels as needed.
• Monitors inventory and places orders within cost control procedures.
• Completes payroll and employment records.
• Maintains customer service focus and resolves guest requests.
• Interviews and hires restaurant staff to achieve proper staffing levels.
• Prepares operational reports and develops action plans to address trends.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan.
