Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking a General Manager to lead drive-in operations, train crew and manage shifts to deliver fast, safe and friendly service. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, inventory and payroll while maintaining standards and profitability.

You will recruit, train and coach team members, enforce policies, and drive guest satisfaction through active problem-solving and clear communication. This role requires flexibility for nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of restaurant management experience preferred (QSR).
• Ability to work five days with irregular hours including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection.
• Knowledge of federal/state labor laws and sanitation rules.
• Strong leadership and verbal/written communication skills.
• Basic accounting and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches crew, carhops and skating carhops.
• Directs and assigns staff to meet operating standards.
• Ensures compliance with employee handbook and practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Prepares work schedules and adjusts staffing as needed.
• Maintains inventory and places orders within cost controls.
• Completes payroll and employment records.
• Reinforces customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Resolves guest requests and addresses complaints with supervision.
• Interview and hire staff to achieve proper staffing levels.
• Prepare operational reports and develop action plans for sales trends.
• Develop and implement a marketing plan.
