Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager in Kansas to support the General Manager in day-to-day drive-in operations and staff supervision. You will help train crew members, manage scheduling, and ensure food quality and safety standards are met while delivering excellent guest experiences.

The role requires flexible hours, previous restaurant management experience, and strong communication skills to lead a team and uphold SONIC standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing drive-in operations.
• Train and support other employees to ensure quality food and safety.
• Direct and assign staff to meet operating standards.
• Perform opening and closing duties and manage staff scheduling.
• Monitor inventory, food costs and adherence to policies.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and promptly address complaints.
